If you’re working in an office, here are some of the checklist items that might have been omitted:

  1. Add energy to every conversation

  3. Find obsolete things on your task list and remove them

  4. Treat customers better than they expect

  5. Offer to help co-workers before they ask

  6. Feed the plants

  7. Leave things more organized than you found them

  8. Invent a moment of silliness

  9. Highlight good work from your peers

  10. Find other great employees to join the team

  11. Cut Costs

  12. Help invent a new product or service that people really want

  13. Get smarter at your job through training or books

  14. Encourage curiosity

  15. Surface and highlight difficult decisions

  16. Figure out what didn’t work

  17. Organize the bookshelf

  18. Start a club

  19. Tell a joke at no one’s expense

  20. Smile a lot.
